When you’re working with technology, remember that you’re never alone.  The software business is all about volume, so chances are if you’re having a problem, then someone else—or, more likely thousands of other people—have already been there.

For those of you working on more advanced projects, like working with PHP, javascript, MySQL, or any other web programming language or server application, StackOverflow.com is great resource.  According to their home page, they have a pretty straight-forward mission:

Stack Overflow is a collaboratively edited question and answer site for programmers – regardless of platform or language. It’s 100% free, no registration required.

This sounds like a lot of other resources for help with coding, but what makes StackOverflow.com so special is its great interface.  It’s not the most beautiful site in the world, but it’s very easy to search, drill-down into categories, and find the answer to your questions, which is ultimately the most important thing about any site like this—we all just want to get back to work building our sites.

Automattic, the good folks behind WordPress and a host of related tools, have a great site for helping everyone interested in WordPress, WordPress.tv. The site, launched early last year, includes how-to guides, talks given by developers, and all sorts of other content from the wide world of WordPress.
